Jakarta, September 19, 2022 – The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) has partnered with izin.co.id, vOffice, and InvestinAsia to collaborate on simplifying business licensing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the creative economy (ekraf).
Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno stated in the Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno at the Sapta Pesona Building in Central Jakarta on Monday (September 19, 2022) that licensing is a frequent issue faced by ekraf entrepreneurs in running their businesses. The collaboration with izin.co.id, vOffice, and InvestinAsia, as platforms that assist in company licensing, is expected to facilitate the process for ekraf actors in managing business permits, taxes, and more.

“Through this collaboration, we hope that ekraf entrepreneurs will find it easier to manage their licenses. This way, the economy can recover and job opportunities will expand,” said Sandiaga.
Sandiaga revealed that Indonesia’s ekraf product export value reached nearly 24 billion USD in 2021, accounting for almost 10 percent of the national export value. With this potential, he believes that this figure could increase further with easier licensing for ekraf sector entrepreneurs.
During the event, Christian Sugiono, Chief Business Development Officer of izin.co.id, added that in addition to facilitating licensing, izin.co.id also educates ekraf actors on the importance of intellectual property rights (IPR), given that IPR ownership in ekraf is only at 1.98 percent.

“The works of ekraf actors are very vulnerable to misuse by others, which is why izin.co.id actively promotes the importance of IPR registration. That is why we are here together,” said Christian.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kemenparekraf, izin.co.id, vOffice, and InvestinAsia was signed by Riwud Mujirahayu, Secretary of the Digital Economy and Creative Products Deputy at Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, Verliene Tandiono, President Director of izin.co.id, and witnessed by Minister Sandiaga; Mohammad Amin, Director of Music, Arts, Performing Arts, and Publishing Industry at Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf; and Debora Harijanto, Chief Operating Officer of izin.co.id.
